Only one all-volunteer fire company in Wellsville are also, BBQ pitmasters. For many years, the Dyke Street Fire Company has served a chicken BBQ dinner that could win awards. Don’t miss this Thursday August 29 dinner, drive thru only.
The “mop”, used to baste the chicken halves under a charcoal pit is a flavor that can’t be replicated. The guys who spend the morning cooking the BBQ, sweating over the fire, are doing so in order to provide better service to the community. This fundraiser is in-demand so they don’t even sell tickets.
Show up early, they will sell out and the next BBQ from this fire company won’t be until spring!!!
