Mid-week music features patriotic music by Dick Pensyl, Town of Scio is hiring

Mid-week music at the Scio Memorial Library will present Dick Pensyl on Wednesday, July 27th, at 6:15 p.m. He will be performing a few patriotic songs followed by tunes from the mid-1800s and numbers from the 1920s, 30s, 50s, 60s, and 70s, including some rock and country. The concert will be held around the gazebo if the weather is favorable, and inside the library if otherwise. All are welcome.

Summer hours are in effect at the library, and many a good book, DVD and magazine are available for your warm weather reading. On Tuesdays and Wednesday, the hours are from 1:00 to 7:00 p.m., Thursdays from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. and Fridays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

The Town of Scio is accepting applications for a 40-hour-a-week, one-year appointment of a laborer with the following abilities:

⭐️Must be a Scio resident

⭐️CDL license required

⭐️Snowplowing experience with a CDL truck

⭐️Experience operating wheel loader, roller, backhoe

⭐️Ability to perform manual labor such as mowing, shoveling, weed eating, flagging, etc.

⭐️Must be available for overtime if needed

⭐️Ability to obtain NYSDOH water certifications: C and D

⭐️Ability to perform manual labor duties such as lifting up to 100 lbs without assistance, shoveling, mowing, weed whacking, painting, and other duties as assigned

⭐️Must be able to report to work within one hour of an emergency (on call or during normal hours)
