Tonight in Scio: Live music by Dave Mason and planning for Bi-centennial celebration

Share:

The Scio Memorial Library will host an interesting mix of local entertainment and government July 13. Music man Dave Mason is set to play from the gazebo outside at 6:15pm. Should the weather not cooperate, the music will be held inside. His performance will be held around the library park gazebo if weather is favorable, but inside if otherwise. All ages are welcome for this free bring-a-chair, see-you-there event which will begin at 6:15 pm. Dave’s repertoire includes country, bluegrass, classics and popular selections, and we might even get him to tell us about the time he spent with Willie Nelson’s band!

After Dave’s set of Americana, Scio’s leadership invite the public to attend an open meeting to begin preparing for next years big 200 year birthday.  All interested residents are most welcome to attend, and it is hoped that representatives of the school, the churches, as well as all clubs and service organizations will be present.

The Scio Memorial Library on Main Street in Scio is pleased to host this double-header, and we look forward to seeing a lot of our friends and neighbors.
