Trouble in Genesee PA, Amity Daze ahead, Alfred University Summer Art programs, Air quality warning, and news from the Wellsville Chamber of Commerce

The Pennsylvania Attorney General has filed three misdemeanor counts against Genesee Municipal Authority

According to the Pennsylvania Statute:

(d) Misdemeanor of the third degree.–Any person who willfully or negligently violates any provision of this act, any rule or regulation of the department, any order of the department, or any condition of any permit issued pursuant to the act is guilty of a misdemeanor of the third degree and, upon conviction, shall be subject to a fine of not less than $1,250 nor more than $12,500 for each separate offense or to imprisonment for a period of not more than one year, or both.

A criminal complaint was filed June 30th with Magisterial District Judge Kari A. McCleaf. No preliminary hearing date has been set yet. Stay tuned for details after the holiday.

Summer Exhibitions
This summer the galleries on Alfred Universtiy campus are open with a variety of exhibitions. Campus galleries, including the Cohen Gallery, Fosdick-Nelson Gallery and the Robert C. Turner Gallery are open Tuesday – Sunday 11-2, and the Alfred Ceramic Art Museum is open Tuesday – Sunday 10-5. Extended gallery hours will be held in conjunction with the Alfred Art Walk on Thursday, July 21 from 5-8pm

WACOC Golf/Clambake set for July 14 at WCC

The Wellsville Area Chamber of Commerce and Wellsville Country Club are having our annual WACOC Golf Tournament and the return of the Clambake which will take place Thursday, July 14th 2022. There are still spots available for team sign ups at $400.00  per foursome, the first 20 teams registered and paid will be accepted so make sure to get your applications in! There are also many sponsorship opportunities for local businesses such as tee sponsorships for $100 and cart sponsorships for $50. We will have extra Clambake tickets also available for purchase at $50 apiece as well as raffles and games!
