Jaedyn Sheilds of Friendship is a standout student and leader
Each year Alco Federal Credit Union invests in the future of the community by awarding scholarships to local high school seniors to help finance their college education. A $500 scholarship was awarded this year to Jaedyn Shields from Friendship Central School.
Jaedyn will be attending Alfred University in the fall with the plan of studying photography with a minor in business. She eventually wants to open her own studio. Jaedyn is the Valedictorian of the Class of 2022. She has volunteered at the Friendship Rod and Gun Club, participated in Varsity Soccer, Cheerleading, Softball, and Trap Club. A leader in her class, she was Cheerleading Captain as well as Class President. She won the Triple “C” Award, was a member of National Honor Society, a member of National Technical Honor Society, and was a Scholar Athlete.
Congratulations to Jaedyn for joining the long list of past winners of the John Patterson Memorial Scholarship. Mr. Patterson served for 32 years as Treasurer of Alco Federal Credit Union and was a vital piece in leading the Credit Union to where it is today.
