Wellsville Police arrested Darren S. Mattison, age 38, no permanent address, charging him with Rape 1st (Class B Felony) and Criminal Contempt 1st (Class E Felony). The charges stem from an incident that took place on June 4th in the Village of Wellsville. Mattison was also charged with Grand Larceny 4th – Firearm (Class E Felony) and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th – by a convicted felon.

Mattison was additionally charged with Criminal Contempt 2nd for a May 10th incident in the Village and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th for a March 31st incident that took place in the Village.
Mattison was processed on all charges and arraigned before Wellsville Village Justice Thompson. Mattison was committed to the Allegany County Jail on $25,000.00 cash bail or $50,000.00 property bond or $100,000.00 partially secured bond. Mattison is due back in Wellsville Village Court on June 21st at 4:30 pm.
