All arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law

Thursday March 24, 2022

Wellsville Police arrested a male age 42 of Depew, charging him with DWI, DWI w/BAC of .08% or more, Aggravated DWI w/BAC of .18% or more and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 1st. The charges stem from a traffic stop on the Bolivar Road in the Village of Wellsville. He was processed, issued an appearance ticket and released to a third party. The accused is due to appear in Wellsville Village Court on April 12th at 4:30 pm.

Wellsville Police arrested Austin J. Hunt, age 43 of Wellsville and Jeremiah D. Edwards, age 30 of Wellsville, following a reported Robbery that took place at a residence on Pleasant Street in the Village. Hunt and Edwards were each charged with Robbery 1st (Class B Felony), Assault 2nd (Class D Felony), Menacing 2nd and Conspiracy 4th (Class E Felony). Hunt was additionally charged with Strangulation 2nd (Class D Felony) and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th. Hunt and Edwards were processed and arraigned before Wellsville Village Justice Thompson. Hunt and Edwards were both committed to the Allegany County Jail on $25,000.00 cash bail, or $50,000.00 property bond or $100,000.00 partially secured bond. Hunt and Edwards are due back in Wellsville Village Court on April 19th at 4:30 pm. Wellsville Police were assisted at the scene by the New York State Police.

Wellsville Police arrested a male, age 38 of Wellsville, charging him with two counts of Criminal Mischief 4th, Menacing 2nd and Harassment 2nd. The charges stem from an incident that took place on Pine Street on March 30th. The man was additionally charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th for being in possession of illegal narcotic substances when he was taken into custody. He was processed and arraigned before Wellsville Village Justice Thompson. The accused was released under the supervision of the Allegany Count Probation Department’s pre-trial release program. He is due back in Wellsville Village Court on April 19th at 4:30 pm.
