Kassas Pediatrics to join Jones Memorial Medical Practice effective May 1

WELLSVILLE, NY (March 30, 2022) – Jones Memorial Hospital is pleased to announce that Pediatricians Dr. Zahi Kassas and Monica Acomb, PNP, will transition to a Jones Memorial Medical Practice, effect May 1, 2022.

“Dr. Kassas has been a long-time member of our medical staff and has served in various leadership roles here at Jones Memorial,” said Jim Helms, President and CEO of Jones Memorial.  “We not only appreciate his leadership in pediatrics, but his commitment to Jones Memorial and our community.  Nothing could make us happier than being able to partner with Dr. Kassas and his team.”

Dr. Kassas, who joined the Jones Memorial Medical Staff in 1999, has been in private practice at 313 North Main Street in Wellsville for 22 years. Patients will see very little changes from this transition. The current staff will remain and Dr. Kassas and Nurse Practitioner Monica Acomb will continue to provide medical care. Office hours and the phone numbers will also not change. Jones Memorial will manage the billing and take custody of patient records. After May 1st patients will be able to access their medical records by registering at mychart.urmc.rochester.edu.

Current patients of the practice see very little change. “With Jones Memorial managing the practice, our staff will have the freedom to focus on continuing to provide the outstanding care our patients have come to expect,” said Dr. Kassas. “This is an exciting transition that will benefit our patients.”

​After hours cell phone number will remain the same and patients will have the option of speaking with the physician on call. “We are looking forward for cross-coverage with other pediatric providers in the area and have all the trust in them,”  Dr. Kassas added.

Beginning May 1, Kassas Pediatrics will transition to a Jones Memorial Medical Practice!
