Spring Art Classes – The WCAC Welcomes Acclaimed New Instructor

WELLSVILLE,NY- The Wellsville Creative Arts Center is gearing up for its spring session of adult art classes beginning April 3rd through June 15th. These 8-week courses ranging from pottery to painting are well-known for their award-winning instructors. The WCAC offers multiple classes for the beginner to advance in ceramic wheel throwing and hand building. This upcoming season, the art center is excited to announce the addition of multidisciplinary artist and instructor, Trevor Bennett, to their Spring art classes and hand building program. 

Originally from Little Rock Arkansas and a former MFA graduate of the New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University, Bennett has spent his career teaching and exhibiting art at universities around the world including The Maryland Institute College of Art, Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, and the Jingdezhen Private Institute in Jingdezhen, China. Bennett specializes in both 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional art making processes. His award-winning instruction is inspired by art and culture on a global scale.

Taking advantage of the Wellsville Creative Art Center’s ceramic studios, Bennett will be hosting a 8-week instructional series that features a variety of clay sculpting techniques. His classes aim to be 100% inclusive and are especially welcoming to newcomers.

To sign up for Trevor’s Bennett’s class and other classes led by the talented WCAC’s instructors, just sign up on the Wellsville Creative Arts Center website or come down to the art center. Classes offered this season feature a concentration in ceramics. However, Wellsville also provides a variety of art classes including painting and illustration as part of their ART-360 programs for 7th-12th graders and Paint & Sip held every 2nd Thursday of the month.

Sign up is now open for all Spring art classes. All class sessions are $299 for 9 weeks. Studio access, only, without an instructor is $250 for 9 weeks. All ages welcome!
