he Allegany County Schools Music Association (ACSMA) is PROUD to invite our families, friends, and communities to its third and final in-person All-County Honors Festival of the 2021-2022 school year this Saturday, March 19th at the Wellsville High School Auditorium. There will be two concerts on this day: 11:00am Sixth Grade Chorus and 2:00pm Jr High Chorus and Senior High Band.
These festivals have provided some much-needed camaraderie and collaboration for students throughout our county during the crazy times we have all been living through. This All-County Honors Festival will include approximately 150 students from every district in our county participating in the Sixth Grade Chorus, Junior High Chorus and Senior High Band with a commitment to Excellence and their passion for music and the ARTS.
Highlight’s during the concert will be two of the ACSMA 2022 Scholarship Winners. The Junior High Scholarship Recipient, Evelyn Chapman, a 7th grader at Fillmore Central School will be performing “Allegro Spiritoso” by Senaille/arr. Ephross on Tenor Sax, accompanied by Dr. Dawn Bennett. The Senior High Scholarship Recipient going on in Music is Jaydn Mucher. Jaydn will be attending Indiana Wesleyan University for Music Education in the fall. She will be singing “Laurie’s Song” by Aaron Copland, accompanied by Mrs. Jan Schilke.
We hope to see many of you in the audience Supporting and Celebrating these hard working and dedicated student-musicians!!
