Assistant District Attorney Ian Jones will be prosecuting three county residents for crimes including Criminally Negligent Homicide and Arson

Defendant’s Name:  Whitney R. Barrett

Address:  Belmont, New York        

Charges:  Criminally Negligent Homicide            

Court Appearance Date:  March 11, 2022

Proceedings:  Whitney R. Barrett was brought in to County Court on a warrant issued for failure to appear.  The People, represented by Ian M. Jones, ADA, argued for the defendant to be held on bail pending trial.  Cash bail was set at $10,000.00, and a jury trial was scheduled to begin on June 17th.

Defendant’s Name:  Lea Falcone

Address:  Fillmore, New York        

Charges:  Violation of Probation

Court Appearance Date:  March 14, 2022

Proceedings:  Lea Falcone was before Allegany County Court for a probation violation.  The People, represented by Ian M. Jones, ADA, requested that Ms. Falcone be sentenced to 1 year of incarceration in the Allegany County Jail for the violation.  The Court committed Ms. Falcone to the Allegany County Jail without bail and sentencing is scheduled for April 25, 2022.

Defendant’s Name:  Ayden B. Hendricks

Address:  Cuba, New York        

Charges:      Criminal Mischief in the 2nd Degree (a class D felony);
Attempted Arson in the 3rd Degree (a class D felony); and
Reckless Endangerment of Property (a class B misdemeanor).            

Court Appearance Date:  March 14, 2022

Proceedings:  Ayden B. Hendricks, 21, was in Allegany County Court for arraignment on an indictment stemming from an incident at the Palmer Opera House on January 30, 2022.  Further proceedings, including pre-trial motions and a pre-trial conference, have been scheduled for May 5, 2022.
