The new crew at Giant is busy improving, upgrading, and in some cases expanding!! To keep the ball rolling and bring customers the best grocery store experience possible, Giant needs more great people!!
Currently both the Cuba and the Wellsville stores have positions open in almost all departments. Do you love to bake? Giant is bringing back the “scratch bakery,” that for years was a hallmark of the stores. In order to operate the authentic style bakery that customers love, Giant needs a bigger bakery team. If learning new things and the smell of fresh baked bread in the morning appeal to you, this could be a dream job!
The deli department has been ramping up to better serve customers by installing new equipment and expanding menu options. Probably the biggest upgrade in that department is new deep fryers so they can start offering customers an authentic fish fry. As new owner Brian Kusmierski explained, “I would put our fish fry up against anyone’s!” The people of Wellsville and Cuba love their fish fries, Lent is about to begin, and the deli department is about to get busy! Full and part-time positions are open now.
Another specialty of the folks who are bringing the quality of their Market in the Square stores to Allegany County is the butcher shop. One of the first things the Kusmierski’s will tell you is that they are proud of their authentic Polish sausage! As the two stores improve and expand, they are getting busier and busier. Restocking the shelves is a never-ending process in a grocery store and the Cuba location is hiring. This could be a great summer job for students or a perfect part-time gig for you ?
The last department that Giant needs to staff up is certainly the most important!! Cashiers are always the busiest department and both stores are searching for more help at the registers. Nearly all shifts are available, full and part time positions are open now.
