Firefighters from several companies are on the scene of a blaze on North Main Street in Wayland as they attempt the stop the fire from spreading to other buildings and businesses.
The fire is at the building between 10 and 12 N. Main Street in Wayland, in the building to the left of the New Moon Chinese Restaurant. There are several businesses on the street and the American Legion is at the end before the bend.
Firefighters from Wayland and Springwater were at the scene and requested ladder trucks from Hornell, Bath and Naples.
An interior firefighting team was called to the scene from Hammondsport.
