The home of Cuba Lake, Cuba Cheese, The Cuba Garlic Festival, Moonwinks, Empire City Farms, and many other icons of Allegany County will being celebrating 200 years during 2022. Based on the size of the organizing committee, the number of sponsors, and contributions from local businesses; the entire town is rallying behind the celebration.
On Monday February 21st, Town Supervisor Lee James will kick of the celebration with a wreath-laying ceremony and proclamation at 7pm in Willow Bank Park on President’s Day. The brief ceremony will be followed by a fireworks show at Fireman’s Park.
The Committee, listed below, will also be hosting many other events over the bicentennial year.
