Michael T. Baldwin Reports: An area man faces charges in both Wellsville and Potter County, PA

Wellsville Police arrested Christopher M. French-Lawson, age 29 of Rexville, charging him with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 3rd, Unlicensed Operator and Failure to Notify DMV of change of address. 

The charges stem from an incident that took place on South Main Street in the Village.  French-Lawson was processed, issued an appearance ticket and released.  French-Lawson is due to appear in Wellsville Village Court on February 15th at 4:30 pm.

In Oswayo Township on November 24, 2021, French-Lawson (who then listed an address as Bolivar) was charged by Pennsylvania State Police with 13 counts. The top charge with felony Manufacture, Delivery or Possession with intent involving drugs. Here is a list of counts as provided by Magisterial District Magistrate Kari A. McCleaft. The PA case is currently listed as “inactive.” A criminal complaint was filed by PA Troopers on January 21. He is currently awaiting a preliminary hearing.
