Giant Food Mart may be going through some transitions but their generosity and commitment to strengthening our community remains the same.

Allegany County United was pleased to accept a check for $4,369 from Giant Food Mart. This generous donation represents contributions from employees of Giant Food Mart stores in both Cuba and Wellsville, as well as Park Plaza Liquors. Again this year, there was 100 percent participation among the employees in support of the United Way. This contribution will be used to support health and human service agencies and the critical programs they provide locally in Allegany County.

The Kusmierski family are the new ownership group and they will now be operating Giant Food Mart going forward. The Kusmierski’s believe that the community and its people are what make all of Western New York so great, and they look forward to supporting that community now and into the future.

“Year after year, Giant Food Mart and their employees prove their commitment to our community with 100% participation in their annual campaign drive. It is an honor for Allegany County United Way to be the recipient of such kindness and generosity. We are incredibly grateful for their continued support.”
