2022 has not been a smooth year for the Wellsville Central School District. Restarting school at the height of the pandemic has created staffing nightmares. Covid infections, isolations, quarantines, and pandemic fatigue have made the first two weeks of the new year especially challenging. The arrest of a longtime staff member for selling pictures of students online last week has placed the district under additional stress.

Last night, school officials announced to the community that Tuesday would be a remote learning day and that buses would not be in service. Today, just after noon, the district released this letter from Superintendent David Foster explaining that due to staff shortages, the rest of the week would be remote learning.
