The Village of Wellsville mayor and board of trustees will meet for the first time in 2022 tomorrow evening. To begin the year, the meeting is fairly lackluster, but plenty of important news could emerge.
Hired gun Andy Martin will be attending to discuss some of the projects ongoing and in the planning stage.
Deputy Mayor Jeff Monroe will ask to bring a new volunteer firefighter into the department with the Dyke Street Engine Company.
Trustee Mike Roeske will be discussing the ongoing fire contract negotiations with the Town of Wellsville. This hot button issue is being closely watched as the Town has budgeted funds for legal assistance and potential litigation. As the Wellsville Sun has warned, this contract dispute could have dire consequences for town residents.
Trustee Ed Fahs will be handling personnel issues in the electric department staff.
Here is the agenda provided by Village Clerk Wendy Seeley
