The Great Wellsville Balloon Rally returns after time off during the pandemic.
The launches will be held Friday, July 15, two on Saturday July 16 and one in the morning of Sunday, July 17.
However, as the premier tourism event in the Southern Tier, the week, and many times launches, start on Monday July 11. Wellsville has events all week including music, vendors and sidewalk sales.
The Rally did not take place in 2020 or 2021, though some balloonists did fly around the area during the weekend.
The balloon rally committee will be meeting this month to start going over plans for July.
The rally is a true community event, with volunteers putting the entire event on, families hosting balloonists and the community sponsors the rally to help keep it free and provide propane and food for the pilots and their crews.
