The 15th Allegany County Legislature will begin a fresh, four year term today in Belmont. The annual organizational meeting will be a largely ceremonial meeting with a number of appointments and re-appointments to key county leadership positions.
Most notable, new Allegany County Chairman Philip Stockin will be sworn into office and District 5 Legislator Brooke Harris will be appointed Vice-Chairman. Newly elected legislators Gretchen Hanchett, Kevin “Fred” Demick, Jennifer Ricketts-Swales, Adam Cyr, and James Rumfelt will take the oath of office for the first time.
