Troopers say they have a pending investigation against an Tonawanda man, 32, after a report of a violation of an order of protection on Dec. 21 in Andover. Troopers said the man was issued a misdemeanor ticket for second-degree criminal contempt for disobeying the court order of protection. He was issued an appearance ticket and under the state bail reform law, he was released.

Troopers charged Crystal L. Logue, 43, of Belfast, with felony fourth-degree criminal possession of a credit card, fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and third-degree identity theft with the intent to obtain goods after a complaint in Wirt on Sept. 2. The arrest took place on Dec. 22 at 11:54 a.m.

Troopers charged Colleen M. Greil, 54, of Cuba with felony third-degree welfare fraud on Dec. 22 at 4:10 p.m. after a report from Oct. 28. Troopers said it’s still a pending investigation. 

Troopers were called to Bolivar for a report of a missing child on Dec. 23. The child was found and the investigation was closed.

Troopers said no injuries were reported after vehicles driven by a 19-year-old Wellsville male and a 40-year-old Wellsville woman collided on the intersection of Dutch Hill and Hallsport Road on Dec. 23 at 2:12 p.m.

Troopers charged a Whitesville man, 23, with misdemeanor DWI, first offense and DWI Alcohol or Drugs, first offense after a traffic stop on Dec. 26 at 6:43 a.m. in Independence.

Troopers charged Robert D. Torrey, 64, of Wellsville with felony driving while intoxicated and felony DWI for having a previous conviction within 10 years after a traffic stop in Bolivar on Dec. 26 at 8:42 p.m. He was issued appearance tickets.


Olean-based State Police


Walmart in Allegany called troopers when a 36-year-old woman allegedly was trying to steal $200 worth of items from Walmart on Christmas Eve, a misdemeanor petit larceny charge. Troopers came and arrested the woman at Walmart and gave her an appearance ticket for petit larceny to appear in Allegany Town Court.
