The Allegany County Department of Health (ACDOH) is sad to report to our residents and community that there have been three (3) additional COVID-19 related deaths bringing our local total to 79. These deaths, a male age 69, a male age 68, and a male age 66 were due to complications or a consequence of COVID-19. We extend our deepest condolences to their families, and we ask that you respect the families’ privacy during this difficult time.

The Allegany County Department of Health is making a plea to our County residents, if you have not been vaccinated yet, please get vaccinated. If you have been vaccinated, please get your booster. Getting the COVID-19 vaccine has shown to reduce the risk of hospitalizations, serious illness, and death.

COVID-19 is affecting younger and younger individuals and has impacted many of our loved ones, friends, and neighbors. Our hospitals and emergency services are seeing all-time high numbers. Help us to help you make Allegany County a safe and healthy place to live, work, attend school, visit and play.
