From Staff Reports, All accused are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court

Tuesday November 23, 2021

Wellsville Police arrested a male, age 24 of Wellsville, charging him with two counts of Petit Larceny and Criminal Impersonation 2nd. The charges stem from a complaint made by the 7 Eleven on South Main Street. He was processed, issued an appearance ticket and released. The accused is due to appear in Wellsville Village Court on December 21st at 4:30 pm.

Thursday November 25, 2021

Wellsville Police arrested a male, age 32 of Wellsville, charging him with Criminal Mischief 4th and Harassment 2nd. The charges stem from an incident that took place on East Pearl Street in the Village. He was processed and arraigned before Wellsville Village Justice Thompson. The accused was released and is due back in Wellsville Village Court on January 18th at 4:30 pm.

Friday November 26, 2021

Wellsville Police arrested Charles P. McDade, age 31 of Hinsdale, charging him with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th (Class E Felony), Unauthorized use of a Vehicle 3rd and Conspiracy 5th. The charges stem from an incident that took place on South Broad Street in June of 2021. McDade was additionally charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 1st (Class C Felony), Petit Larceny, Criminal use of Drug Paraphernalia 2nd and False Personation. The charges stem from an incident that took place at the 7 Eleven on South Main Street. McDade was processed and arraigned before Wellsville Village Justice Thompson. McDade was committed to the Allegany County Jail on $20,000.00 cash bail, $40,000.00 property bond or $80,000.00 partially secured bond. McDade is due back in Wellsville Village Court on December 21st at 4:30 pm.

Sunday November 28, 2021

Wellsville Police arrested Jesse E.T. Smyers, age 31 of Richburg, charging him with Grand Larceny 3rd (Class D Felony) and three counts of Issuing a Bad Check. The charges stem from a complaint made by North Main Lumber in Wellsville. Smyers was processed and arraigned before Town of Alma Justice Stilson. Smyers was released and is due to appear in Wellsville Village Court on December 7th at 4:30 pm.
