The Cuba Police Department would like to introduce Officer Kendra Waters to the community. Officer Waters recently graduated from the Alfred State Police Academy. Here is a summary of her background in her own words:

Chief Burch, Officer Waters, and Officer Mackney

“Throughout high school the idea of being a member of the law enforcement profession always interested me. My junior and senior year I attended Boces for Criminal Justice where I competed in Skills USA for crime scene investigation. I graduated with a technical endorsement in Criminal Justice.

After graduating high school from Andover Central School in 2019, I went to school at Genesee Community College where I studied Economic Crime Investigation. During my time at Genesee Community College I had a mixture of criminal justice and accounting classes. During college, I had an internship with the Genesee County Sheriff’s Department and an accounting firm. I realized that the idea of law enforcement was something that I really wanted to strive for.

After graduating Genesee Community College with an associates degree in 2021, I enrolled at the Alfred State Police Academy. I recently graduated from the Academy in October of 2021. During the academy I was hired by the Bolivar Police Department and Cuba Police Department.

I enjoy sports, kayaking and helping my community by being a volunteer for the our ambulance department.
