Steve Havey running for re-election in District 4

From Steve Havey, 10/25/21

My name is Steve Havey, one of your District 4 representatives in the Allegany County Legislature.  Many of you know me from my many years at  the Wellsville Kmart, my 10 years as the Executive Director at the Wellsville Area Chamber of Commerce or, perhaps, from my 6 years serving on the Wellsville Town Board.  The last four years have been spent as your District Four Legislator and serving on these committees:  Public Safety, Human Services, Ways and Means and Personnel where I served as chairman.

As your representative in the Allegany County Legislature, I find that I use a great deal of  Common Sense, as it applies to decisions effecting the county.  Common sense can’t be taught or learned.  It is picked up as one grows into an adult.  It appears that some people have more common sense than others.  Mine came from an era where if something is broken-  a TV, a car or a career – you fix it instead of discarding it, as many do today.  It was in that time when I acquired my common sense.  I think it has served me well and  I think it has also served Allegany County .  Something else that developed in me at an early  age is a sense of integrity.  It seems that our integrity is challenged daily in the twenty-first century.  I try very hard to keep my integrity in tact, both in my personal life and as your Legislator.  If you are looking for a Legislator that you can trust, that would be me.  I have no business conflicts and no relatives in need of a government job.

My desire is to serve another four years as your Legislator.  I am not self-serving, I am here to serve you.  During early voting or on November 2nd. Please vote Steve Havey for your Legislator.  Thank you!
