Wellsville volleyball improves to 10-0 after senior night sweep of Cuba-Rushford

WELLSVILLE – The seniors on the Wellsville girls’ volleyball team have not only experienced the thrill of victory, the past four seasons they have rarely felt defeat. In fact, one senior has never lost.

The momentum continued Wednesday night as Wellsville swept Cuba-Rushford, 25-19, 25-10, 25-12.

Wellsville is 10-0 and travels to Genesee Valley/Belfast for a Friday game at 7:30 p.m.

Seniors Jaelyn Knapp had eight aces, six digs and four kills while Brooklyn Stisser had five kills, four digs and two aces, Marley Adams had seven digs, three kills and two aces and Kaylee Coleman had five digs and two kills. The other senior is first-year senior Natalie Zeigler, an exchange student who will have two more years of high school.

Also for Wellsville, setter Maddy parks had 12 assists, three digs and two kills and Emma Dunaway had three kills and two digs.
