” Dear Friends and Family, Thank you so much for the outpouring of sympathy about Dad’s passing. Soon we will be posting an obituary honoring his remarkable life,” the post said. “Although we will have a private family funeral, we will be celebrating his 96 years at a memorial event next spring or summer which the public will be invited to attend. Thank you again for the boundless love and support you have shown Dad, Mom and our entire family through these many years. – The Rigas Family.”

There were over 450 comments and many thoughtful posts and comments from residents of Wellsville, Coudersport and the region.

Bob Carroll posted a photo and this message:

Mr Rigas always took time to talk & ask about how the landscaping and flowers were going. I’m forever thankful he hired me & moved my family from Mass to Coudy. I visited Coudy from the mid-70s and always thought it would be a nice place to live & raise a family. Mr Rigas made it happen! I enjoyed working for the Rigas family for 17 years. Prayers for his family.”
