The remarkable number of arrests for driving while intoxicated continue in Troop A – Batavia. Details on the five latest arrests are below. All accused are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.

On August 17, 2021 at 11:09 pm, Troopers out of SP Boston arrested a female, 43, of Orchard Park, NY for driving while intoxicated, moving from lane unsafely and no NYS driver’s license.

Troopers stopped her on Southwestern Blvd for moving from lane unsafely. She was placed under arrest after failing SFST’s and transported to SP Boston for processing. The accused recorded a .17% BAC.

The accused was issued traffic tickets returnable to the town of Orchard Park court in September 2021.


On August 17th, 2021, Troopers out of SP Jamestown arrested a male, 31, of Mayville, for Felony Driving While Intoxicated. 

The Troopers responded to a residence in Ashville for a welfare check. Investigation revealed that person of interest was not present and had driven from the residence in an intoxicated condition toward the Village of Lakewood.

The accused was located at Walmart and placed under arrest after failing several SFSTs. He was transported to SP Jamestown where he provided a breath sample of .14. The accused had driving record revealed a DWI conviction within the preceding 10 years, the charge was upgraded to a felony. He was then processed, issued tickets and released. The accused is scheduled to appear in the village of Lakewood Court next month.


On August 18, 2021, Troopers out of SP Warsaw arrested a male, 34, of Caledonia, NY, for Driving While Intoxicated. 

Troopers responded to head on personal injury motor vehicle accident on State Route 63, in the town of Covington.  During the interview with the operator, he was exhibiting signs of impairment.  Troopers determined the man had been operating a vehicle while in an impaired condition.  He was arrested and transported to Wyoming County Community Hospital where he refused a blood draw. The accused was released with an appearance ticket for the town of Covington court, where he is due to appear at a later date.


On August 21st, 2021, Troopers out of SP Jamestown arrested a female, 21, of Jamestown, for Driving While Intoxicated. The woman was pulled over on Route 60 in Jamestown for a traffic violation and after failing several SFSTs, she was placed under arrest. She was transported to SP Jamestown where she provided a breath sample of .11. She was then processed, issued tickets and released. The accused is scheduled to appear in the town of Ellicott court on a later date.


On August 21st, 2021, New York State Troopers arrested a male, 50, of Sheridan, for Driving While Intoxicated. The man was pulled over on Route 20 in Sheridan for a traffic violation and after failing several SFSTs, he was placed under arrest. The was transported to SP Fredonia where he was processed, issued tickets and released. The accused is scheduled to appear in the town of Sheridan Court next month.


On August 21st, 2021, New York State Troopers arrested a male, 26, of Gowanda, for Driving While Intoxicated. He was pulled over on Route 5 in Hanover for a traffic violation and after failing several SFSTs, he was placed under arrest. The man was transported to SP Fredonia where he provided a breath sample of .16. He was then processed, issued tickets and released. The accused is scheduled to appear in the town of Hanover Court next month.
