Kenneth J. CORCORAN, Jr., 37, of Syracuse, NY, died Sunday, August 15, 2021 in his home.

Born January 3, 1984, in East Elmhurst, he was the son of Kenneth J. and Cecilia Zito Corcoran.  Ken had a big personality that people couldn’t help but love.  Gifted with a big heart and a warm smile, he had a way of making people want to talk to him.  His sense of humor could make people laugh even on the worst of days.  The memory of his laughter will give us strength through this time of sorrow.  He enjoyed helping people, especially those in need.  There was always room for another chair at his table.

Surviving are:  his son, Declan, who was the light of his life and who he would have done anything for;  his father, Kenneth Corcoran of New Smyrna Beach, FL;  his mother, Cecilia Corcoran of Scottsboro, AL;  a brother, Sean Corcoran of Scottsboro, AL;  the mother of his son, Shaina McMann of Fayetteville, NY and her daughter, Kaylen;  and many cherished friends.

A covid-safe memorial service will be held at a date soon to be determined by the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Ken’s honor may be made to Catholic Charities of Onondaga County men’s shelter at www.ccoc.us or by calling (315) 362-7527.  There will also be a donation drive in his honor for the Syracuse homeless community organized by Pay it Forward CNY on Facebook.  The family also asks to keep Ken in mind and provide an act of kindness for someone in need.

Arrangements are under the direction of Olney-Foust Funeral Homes & Cremation, Crowell Chapel, 296 North Main Street, Wellsville, NY.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.wellsvillefuneralhome.com.
