Fatal Farm Collision
On August 12, 2021at 11:00 A.M., Troopers out of SP Warsaw responded to an incident involving a feed truck at Synergy Farms LLC in the town of Covington. Further investigation revealed that a 2006 Mack was backing down the center aisle of a cow barn and stuck Jacob H. Holzman, 87 of Brooklyn, NY. Holzman was pronounced deceased at the scene by Wyoming County Coroner Michael Smith.
NYSP Collision Reconstruction Unit and the Bureau of Criminal Investigation assisted in this investigation. This is still an ongoing investigation.
Fatal Motorcycle Deer Accident
Pennsylvania State Police are continuing to investigate a fatal motorcycle crash in Potter County. It happened Saturday evening on Route 6 in Pike Township. Troopers said 62-year-old Anthony Leach of South Bend, Indiana was traveling eastbound when he struck a deer. The impact ejected Leach off the cycle. He died at the scene. Police said he was wearing a helmet.
