Attention Village of Wellsville Residents: “Chalk Your Walk” Starts This Thursday!!

The Wellsville Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Chalk Your Walk between the dates of August 12th and 15th.  Free and open to everyone (of all ages), we encourage you all to Chalk your favorite Main Street “Walk” of Wellsville in the best way possible way!  Extra points will be provided in the following areas:

  • Categories (below):
    • Main Street – Best Overall ($50 Chamber Dollars)
    • Main Street – Pride of Wellsville ($25 Chamber Dollars)
    • Main Street – Best under 12 years old ($25 Chamber Dollars)
    • Off Main Street – Wellsville Area / Home ($25 Chamber Dollars)
    • All – People’s Choice – ($25 Chamber Dollars)

Chalk can be acquired (while supplies last) a few ways.  You can (1) stop by the Chamber (114 N. Main Street, Wellsville) Monday through Thursday 10a-3p.  (2) Stop by our table during Music on the Lawn on August 12th.  (3) or use your own!

Instructions once we begin on August 12th:
1.            Grab some chalk and start drawing!
2.            Take a picture of your artwork, e-mail it with the artist’s first name (s), age and a short statement about your/their inspiration to  MSC@WellsvilleAreaChamber.com or send via Facebook Messenger to @WellsvilleAreaChamber by August 15th.
3.            Our team of judges will look at all entries and choose the winners based on originality, creativity, and visual impact. Winners must be family friendly and contain no copyrighted or licensed imagery.
4.            All entries will be uploaded to our Facebook page (Wellsville Area Chamber) by Monday, August 16th, and the public will have an opportunity to “like” their favorite image from August 16th – 18th. The photo with the most likes by 3pm on August 9 will be the winner of the People’s Choice prize.
5.            Winners will be announced on Thursday, August 18th.

6.             Please return your chalk to the Chamber after use so we can do this again!
