Looking west from the perch where this page is published, the blue skies were welcome but the horizon is still hazed from western smoke. Twenty-five hundred miles away can be put into perspective quickly when you can still smell the burn and cough from the soot. Still that tragedy provided a beautiful vista looking west over Wellsville.

To quote Jimi Hendrix, “Look at the sun turn a hell fire red.” Forecasts call for a short break in humidity, but be ready for higher temperature and humidity next week.

Be grateful you aren’t in China where they are experiencing, ‘a thousand year flood.’ Dozens of deaths have been reported in central China, where flooding caused by massive rainfall brings misery to many. Read more on AccuWeather.com about that historic flood.
