It saddens our hearts to announce the sudden passing of Scott Dallas Bruner on May 8, 2021 at age 62. Scott was born on April 10, 1959 in Olean, the son of Harry and Doris (Baldwin) Bruner.

Scott attended the Griffith Institute in Springville, and was a veteran of the U. S. Navy. He was a “Jack of all trades” and was an excellent salesperson, mostly because of infectious personality. Scott had a loving bond with his nieces and nephews, especially Kyle and Corrie Ahrens of Friendship, and Amber and Larry Snyder of Olean, as well as his many great nieces and nephews. He had no children of this own, but assisted with raising a young man named Brandon Skaggs from Pittsburgh, PA, who he loved like a son. He was also a pet parent to his cats, Frodo and Possum. He co-parented his sister’s dog, Willow and his very good friend Ed’s dog, Pupino.

He enjoyed spending time with family, working on his motorcycle, and very LOUD music that he shared with the neighborhood in the summer. He was humorous, sensitive, friendly and would take the shirt off his back if needed. We love you Scott.

He is survived by a brother Mark (Paula) Bruner of Bolivar, a sister, Cindy (Bob) Dickerson of Bolivar, two step brothers, Don Taylor of Wellsville, and Vinnie (Sissie) Taylor of Kentucky.

Friends are invited to a celebration and memorial on Sunday May 23, 2021 at 2:00 pm at the Brookside Wesleyan Church, 3456 Andover Road in Wellsville. Please consider memorial donations to any charity of the donor’s choice. To leave online condolences, please visit wwwembserfuneralhome.com
