Helene K. NAWROCKI, 70, of Genesee, PA, died Thursday, May 13, 2021 in her home.  

She was born November 10, 1950, in Philadelphia.  A graduate of Abington High School, she earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree in nursing from La Salle University.  On June 19, 1976, in Abington Township, she married Stanley W. “Stash” Nawrocki, Jr., who survives.  

She was employed by Delaware Valley Hospital in Bristol in the ICU and as Director of Nursing.  Helene was the CEO of the Center for Nursing Excellence in Abington.  She was an author and editor of nursing photo books with Spring House Corporation and authored the Nurse’s Book of Courage.  She lectured far and wide at nursing seminars with Laura Gasparis Vonfrolio.  Moving to Potter County in 1996, she served as Executive Director of the Potter County Education Council.  In retirement, she operated Bear Mountain Herbs.  Helene was a member of the Genesee Library Book Club, the Wellsville Garden Club, and the Hooterville quilting group.  

She is survived by her husband, Stash, and a sister and brother-in-law, Deborah Lynn (Kenneth) Pagliaro of Lansdale.  She was predeceased by her parents, Richard and Helen McPeak Ritting.  

Friends may call at Olney-Foust Funeral Homes & Crematory, Ulysses on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 from 2:00 – 4:00 PM.  CDC and PA Department of Health guidelines apply.
