James Helms is now a complete Morrison Hayes Wellsville Post 702 American Legion Family Member. Jim has been a member of Post 702 for 10 years and is currently Finance Officer. He has recently joined Unit 702 American Legion Auxiliary under his wife Dena Helms, has been a Post 702 Squadron SAL member joining under his grandfather who was a WWII veteran for 3 years and a Post 702 American Legion Rider for 9 years.
Jim retired in November 2016 from the Army has a Command Sergeant Major after 25 years of service. On May 12th, 2021 Jim was presented with a dual Legion/Auxiliary membership pin by Post 702 Commander Brent Roberts and Unit 702 President Sandy Smith at the Auxiliary regular meeting.
This is an all-American Legion Family, wife Dena, sons James and Aaron all serving or served in the US Army and all Morrison Hayes Post 702 Legion Members. Wife Dena is also a Unit 702 Auxiliary member.
