Meet Dustin Gordon, Candidate for District 5 Legislator

Dustin Gordon of Canaseraga is a lifelong resident of Allegany County, a US Navy veteran, and will be challenging incumbents in District 5 in the June 22nd Republican primary election.

” My name is Dustin Gordon life long resident of Canaseraga, NY and one of many generations of Gordon’s that have lived in our county. I am a graduate of Canaseraga Central School.

I served in the US Navy from 2007 to 2011 stationed out of San Diego, CA and was deployed to the Persian gulf in 2009 to 2010 during Operation Enduring Freedom.

I am running for Allegany County Legislator District V. There is one reason why I have decided to run. I care about our communities and believe that there is much prosperity to be achieved and it is an opportunity for me to be involved with the communities.

I believe a vote for me would be a vote for the people. Now is the time that the people deserve an honest voice to represent them. Sometimes we have to let go of our pride and do what is requested of us. In a time of division and uncertainty my goal is to do the best I can.

Yes I am a Republican but I am going to be open minded to everyone, this will give me the opportunity to gather information of what the people want.

With this I’m hoping everyone’s ideas will bring us more united. The manner in which I served my country in the US Navy I will serve my communities in the same way, honest and honorably.

What I see emerging from our county are new and current more prosperous small businesses and more jobs. With that we can encourage the purchasing of rural homes and population growth. That life in our county is a way different than what many think living in New York is like.  This is important to me not only for the future of my children but everyone’s.”
