Linda L. Mattison, Wellsville


Linda L. Mattison, 72, of 23 North Main Street died on Thursday, March 25, 2021 shortly after arrival at Jones Memorial Hospital. She was born June 19, 1948 in Wellsville the daughter of Gerald and Dorothy (Reynolds) Mills. On August 15, 1992 in Wellsville she married Darius C. Mattison who survives.

Linda was raised in the Bolivar/Allentown area, and was a graduate of Bolivar High School. After raising her family, she became a Licensed Practical Nurse, and was formerly employed at Founders Pavilion in Corning, and later transitioned to a private home healthcare provider, a career she dearly loved. She also worked for Ulysses Woodcraft and the Allegany County Department of Social Services. She enjoyed playing Bingo and loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Surviving in addition to her husband, Darius are four children, Darien (Robin) Mattison, Dawn Allen, Danny Mattison, and Dale (Anita) Mattison, nine grandchildren, Darien Shane Mattison, Mikayla Mattison, Nikki Lee Sortore, Anthony Mattison, Danny Mattison Jr., Ashley Mattison, Helen Newman Davis, Felicity Hunter Mattison, and Ayden Michael Mattison, 12 great grandchildren, a brother, Jerry Mills, a sister, Judy (Terry) Clark, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Darius Mattison, a brother, Roger Mills, and a sister, Audrey Mills.
