The most recent sponsor of The Wellsville Sun actually had a part in establishing this new project. They literally taught me how to read, write, and ‘cipher’ decades ago as a student. My parents were also Crusaders, so you can say that ICS has been informing my brain since the 1950’s. Today I dropped my 3rd grader and Kindergartener off at the school, just like our family has been doing for about 65 years! They honestly look forward to school each day.
Today this school is a much more modern version of a parochial institution. As a firmly atheist family, our kids get exposed to the Catholic faith, but without the ‘fire and brimstone’ of the old days. The religious education program at ICS is full of universal teachings like love, kindness, forgiveness, and generosity of spirit.
We will be bringing you inside the school within the month to learn more about what a great education opportunity this is for ANY family in the Wellsville area.
