Over 150 writers from NY-23 Congressional District, “This Year We’re All in for Aaron Gies”

Freedom, NY – Millions of Americans have received a handwritten postcard over the course of the last decade of elections. This year Freedom Writers, a group of Allegany County volunteers, will hit the 100,000-card sent mark. And we’ll do that supporting a candidate in our own district. Aaron Gies for Congress.
Through the power of our affiliation with Indivisible, we have over 150 writers in all 9 NY-23 counties. But we go beyond that with other Indivisible affiliates, including Indivisible Edinburgh. That’s right a group of Ex-Pats will be supporting from Europe by writing cards. These are personally handwritten cards, with a bit of prewritten text, in a powerful message of support. 24,000 cards will be mailed.
“The majority of WNY voters want a Congressperson that will stop all the corruption and fight for affordability,” said Patty MacEwan, Freedom Writers lead. She continued, “they don’t want a congressman taking marching orders from Trump, the Epstein class, and big donors.”
Freedom Writers is an all-volunteer postcard to voters’ group based in Allegany County, NY. Freedom Writers has been writing cards since the 2022 election. Freedom Writers is an Indivisible affiliate.
“Indivisible” is a nationwide movement of everyday people organizing on the ground in all 50 states to stop the rise of authoritarianism in the United States and to build a real democracy that works for all of us.
