On Monday, September 21, the Wellsville Jv girls soccer team traveled to Portville and came away with a strong 5–0 victory. The girls played with great effort from start to finish, showing strong teamwork, communication, and determination throughout the game.
Emma Washer led the scoring with three goals, scoring twice in the first half and once in the second half. Adriene Clark added a goal in the first half, while Abby Stoneham scored in the second half.
The team worked well together on both offense and defense, and played hard throughout the entire game.
Coach Anthony Washer, was happy with the win, “The girls played well and scored some goals which is always good, we had better passing this game and we were tough on defense”.
The team takes on Cuba-Rushford Bolivar-Richburg at home on Thursday 9/24 at 5pm.
