Come to the Belmont American Legion and help make this year’s tribute to fallen veterans great

From the Belmont NY Wreaths Across America Committee,

The Belmont American Legion Family Wreaths Across America organization has proudly taken part in the solemn placing of wreaths on the graves of our veterans for the past four years.  In December 2025, community volunteers of all ages and members of the Belmont American Legion Family honored 536 veterans throughout the cemeteries in the Town of Amity.

On Saturday, October 17, 2026 the Wreaths Across America organization will host a fundraiser at the Belmont American Legion, located on 29 Schuyler Street in Belmont, designed to raise funds for purchasing wreaths for our deceased veterans. There will be a $5 dollar cover charge for this fundraiser.   Rick Chilson & Friends will be performing country and light rock music from 7:00-10:00 PM.  Item raffles and a 50/50 raffle will be held during the evening.  Refreshments will be available for purchase from 5:30 to 7:00.

The Belmont Legion Family Wreaths Across America organization is committed to the national Wreaths Across America Project, and we take great pride in working diligently to secure a wreath for each deceased veteran in our community.  We hope to see you on Saturday, October 17th as we honor our veterans through this event.  Should you not be able to attend this event you can still support the project by contacting Suzie Thomas, Coordinator, at 585-610-6485 to sponsor a wreath for a veteran. The wreaths will be placed on each veteran’s grave on Wreaths Across America Day which will take place on Saturday, December 19th at noon this year.

We wish to extend a sincere thank you to our donors, volunteers and our community for your support.
