NYS Assemblyman announced he is directing $30,000 in state aid to the district

CANASERAGA, N.Y.– Assemblyman Joe Sempolinski announced he is directing $30,000 in unrestricted state aid to Canaseraga Central School during the Board of Education’s August meeting.
“I’m very grateful to be able to provide this state aid to Canaseraga Central School,” Assemblyman Sempolinski said. “As I told Superintendent Josie Steiner and the Board of Education, I chose Canaseraga Central School because it is a small district where this money will have a real benefit for the students, teachers and staff.”
Superintendent Steiner said the $30,000 will go toward purchasing new musical instruments for students and other teaching materials at the school.
“The Canaseraga Central School District is very grateful for the support of our New York State Assemblyman Joe Sempolinski,” Superintendent Steiner said. “This kind of aid makes a big difference to our small, rural district. We appreciate the funds, as we intend to use part of them for updated musical instruments and other teaching materials. We also value the Assemblyman’s ongoing support of rural public schools.”
This is the fourth unrestricted grant award Assemblyman Sempolinski has designated for a school in the 148th Assembly District. In 2025, he presented unrestricted grants to Jasper-Troupsburg Central School in Steuben County, Whitesville Central School in Allegany County and West Valley Central School in Cattaraugus County.
