It started a century ago, with the miracle of electrical current being delivered to an ever expanding populace. Transmission wires provided power for lights, indoor plumbing, switch board phone connections and street lighting. Industry took a giant leap forward as manufacturing incorporated electric motors, and welding. The populace listened to box radio broadcasts soon to be augmented with black and white TV. World wars brought about radar and powerful radio/television improvements. Soon a budding information age morphed into a full blown, downhill dash into the technological development of data storage, processing, delivery and access. . Telecommunications became a global industry and the access to computers, accompanied by portable telephones the size of your shoe, and was soon replaced with powerful cell phones and computer access, in the palm of your hand. An insatiable desire for access to information (digital connection), took hold of society. Analogue radio wave transmissions were replaced by smart digital microwave technologies; in order to feed a digital ‘instant gratification demon’ now possessing humanity.
The Information Age has also been, and is, an invaluable asset in humanities quest to grow intellectually, industrially, emotionally, spiritually and in science. Unfortunately, however, the seemingly infinite access to the digital tools, that fulfill our desires, have been captured and used to addict, control and corral us into a digital reality. A reality that ultimately serves advancing industry agendas to increase their wealth power and total control of the masses. Beneath the surface hype, infrastructure under construction, for ‘The Internet of Things’, is a control agenda, targeting the entire planet. Such a matrix is already tapping a stressed electric grid and requires huge battery storages; many, that are lithium based. Fire companies cannot extinguish Lithium fires. Evacuation away from the poisonous plumes is the only intervention. The fallout remains.
Battery storages are also a prelude to the sitting of massive data centers to process and store phone, internet, travel, purchases and all activity. Cameras are being installed everywhere ; including ‘Smart’ televisions, laptops, cars, home security, drones, traffic lights, satellites etc. Data centers and data storage are also the hinge-pin of the coming Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) which is slated to replace ‘greenbacks’ and will be under the control of the Federal Reserve in the U.S. The Federal Reserve and U.S. currency is not controlled by Congress or the Federal Government. It is controlled (owned) by the World Bank which is a conglomerate of global banking interests. Every digital transaction will be monitored, recorded and eventually controlled. Satellite data centers proposed in space will cast massive information net over our entire planet. This global network of orbit and earth based infrastructure will rule telecomm, manipulate digital currency, operate instant facial recognition, monitor everything; and run AI algorithms to oversee a Digital Reality.
Communities and local elected officials are being cautious about how the onslaught of expansive data centers will impact local quality of life. Local Moratoriums are being put in place to slow them railroading past insufficient zoning. Governor Hochul recently put a state wide Moratorium in place which activists hope will stop data centers. ‘Too good to be true’ investigation revealed that the state wide Moratorium on Data Centers is for time to prepare and adopt a Generic Environmental Impact Statement covering all future installations statewide and to develop incentive packages for communities to receive payments for hosting.
There is an opening here for aware communities, individuals, and groups; to contact the Governor, Members of the State Assembly and Senate as well as all local representatives, and insist that the public opportunity for comment and input to the Generic Environmental Impact Statement (EIS), be robust, open and given fair weighing on the scales of justice for environmental protection, public safety and our NYS Constitutional Right to clean air, water and a healthful living environment.
NOTE: It was a truthful EIS, performed in the early 1990s, and released in concert with overwhelming public resistance, that enabled then Governor Mario Cuomo to legally deny the sitting of a radioactive waste disposal site anywhere in New York State.
