Belmont, NY — May 22, 2026 — Local nonprofits, municipal leaders, educators, and community organizations are invited to sharpen their grant-seeking skills at the upcoming “Coffee with a Grant Writer: How to Find Grants” Interactive Workshop, hosted at CORE The Learning Center.
Taking place on Friday, May 22, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., this hands-on event offers participants a unique opportunity to work directly with an experienced grant professional while exploring funding opportunities tailored to their needs.
The workshop will be led by Liz C. Forster, owner of LCF Grant Consulting, who brings nearly a decade of experience in grant writing and strategy. Since 2017, Forster has successfully secured more than $29 million in grant funding for nonprofits, municipalities, schools, and other organizations. During the session, she will share recommended grant search resources, strategies for evaluating funding opportunities, and provide individualized guidance as participants conduct live searches.
“This workshop is designed for anyone who finds themselves saying, ‘We need a grant for that,’ but isn’t sure where to begin,” said organizers. “Participants will leave with practical tools, resources, and confidence to pursue funding successfully.”
Attendees are encouraged to bring their own laptops, though devices will also be available on-site. The interactive format ensures personalized support and real-time assistance throughout the session.
