The Wellsville Wildcats, a local travel baseball program under the direction of Joe Carmona, has several teams in several age groups.
This past weekend the team went 5-0 to capture the Freedom Tornado Mother’s Day Tournament.
The team beat the 716 Patriots for the title.
The players for the tournament were: Madoc Johnson, Braidon Potter, Mason Wieszczyk, Matthew Helveston, Luke Auman, Stephen Loucks, Felix Grimes, Colsin Short, Jace HerrNeckar and Braxton O’Dell.
Madoc Johnson and Braidon Potter combined on a no-hitter in one of the games, while Felix Grimes pitched seven scoreless innings on the weekend, Mason Wieszczyk picked up a win in two innings and Jace HerrNeckar closed the championship game with three strong innings on the mound.
