The Wellsville Lions Club is dedicated to serve the greater Wellsville Community in keeping with Our Motto: “We Serve.” One of the ways we do this is through donations in response to requests. If anyone is in need of our services or financial help, please contact any Lions Club member or visit us on Facebook.
Here is the latest contribution to the community for the month of April 2026 by the various Lions Committees.
$500 – Fassett Green Space (Civic Improvement)
$100 – Allegany County Celebration 250 (Civic Improvement)
$1000 – Thad Lorsbaugh House Fire (Health and Welfare)
$500 – AJ Fay medical expenses (Health and Welfare)
$400 – Tori Clemons Music Camp (Youth Activities)
The Fassett Greenspace on Main Street was particularly thrilled with the support as they operate on a shoestring budget to provide a community garden and downtown oasis. The group had some unusually high expenses in preparing for this growing season and the financial help was perfect timing.
Longtime Lion Adam Sorochin told us:
“We are proud to continue to serve our community and appreciate the area created and maintained at the Green Space. It brings life and a peaceful place to Main Street for all to enjoy.”
Kristin Buchholz, President of Art For Rural America, the non-profit who manages the Fassett Greenspace, was thrilled with the Lions support:
“This donation from the Lions is so appreciated and helps keep this space healthy and open to the community! The Lions help so many different groups in this community and the Fassett Greenspace is just the latest to benefit.”
The Wellsville Lions Club Charities is a great group of local community-minded folks who are focused on giving back to the community through service and financial support. They are always looking for new members interested in making a difference. Contact members via the group Facebook page for more information.
