Honoring Becky’s memory by giving blood for others on April 15

Appointments are recommended but not required

Belmont, NY – The Community Blood Bank will host a special memorial blood drive on Tuesday, April 15, 2026, in honor of Rebecca “Becky” Brown Scott, whose life was defined by compassion, service, and dedication to others.

The blood drive will take place from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Public Safety Building(Allegany County Sheriff’s Office,) 4884 NY-19, Belmont, NY.

Rebecca Suzanne Jung Soon Brown Scott passed away on November 1, 2025, after bravely battling complications from leukemia. She was a devoted mother, beloved wife, and passionate advocate for her community. Becky was deeply involved in serving others through her work in foster care and through her many contributions to the community. Those who knew her remember her for her kindness, leadership, and generous spirit.

This memorial blood drive provides an opportunity for community members to honor Becky’s life by helping others in need. Each blood donation has the potential to save multiple lives, continuing the legacy of compassion and care that Becky embodied.

By donating blood in Becky’s memory, participants can help ensure her legacy of service and compassion continues to make a difference in the lives of others.

Community Blood Bank partners with hospitals in Northwest P­ennsylvania and Western New York to provide blood for patients in need. If you are at least 17 years of age, weigh a minimum of 110 pounds, and are in good general health, you may be eligible to donate blood. You must have a valid photo ID to donate.
