An uncomfortable discussion of Monsanto, Roundup, GMO crops, and disclosure

An OPINION By Frederick Sinclair

As we find ourselves in times of trouble, the veils of secrecy and hidden agendas, that have controlled civilization for millennia, are being pushed aside to allow in the healing light of truth. What spawned mankind’s propensity for control, wealth and power; the progression through history and disclosure of same has been closely guarded. Suffice it to say, however, recent investigations reveal it has been in our genes far longer than generally understood and there are those who have nurtured the purity of said propensities through the preservation of bloodline, wealth, power and generational management of ‘elite’ status. The first coinage was stricken thousands of years ago and soon after, stores of wealth (banks) as well as credit were born. The advantages of having more wealth and control of currency became the vehicle of maintaining power over the populace, kingdoms, nations, industry, governments, religions and eventually, the world as we know it today. Wars, for the sake of profit, have been instigated and financed on both sides by the elite. The ‘Military-Industrial Complex’  along with industries such as banking, energy, transportation, medicine, drugs, education, agriculture, mass media, weaponry and  communications, have been financed and are controlled by a grove of relatively few family trees, thriving and remaining hidden deep in the forest of  humanity.

The driving forces behind the world economy and the puppeteers of billionaires and millionaires are currently leaving trails that lead right to their front door. The perfect example is the recent Presidential Order, which promotes the US production and usage of the pesticide Glyphosate (Roundup). Glyphosate has been classified as a carcinogen and the owner/producer- Bayer/Monsanto, has been found guilty of knowing the dangers of exposure and failing to warn users. Billions of dollars in damages have been awarded to cancer victims in recent court cases, however, there are thousands of court cases pending and Bayer has stated that they will suspend all availability of the herbicide in the US unless the company is given protection from liability.

The truth is, that Monsanto has for decades maneuvered big agriculture in the US into production of Genetically Manufactured Organism (GMO) based farming, under which the genetically modified seed stock is altered to not be affected by the weed killer Glyphosate/Roundup. Farmers have also contracted to use only Monsanto seed stock and, to make a long story short, they must have Roundup to control weeds or face crop failure and bankruptcy. This could deal a major blow to Big Ag, US food supplies and National Security.  At the end of the day, we have the President of the United States promoting the continued use of a known carcinogen (Glyphosate) on and in production of the feed for livestock, food products grains, seed oils, etc, and resulting in the continued contamination and killing of essential soil microbes, insects, pollinators and citizens. The Executive Order rational states that it is “Promoting the National Defense by ensuring an adequate supply of Elemental Phosphorous and Glyphosate – Based Herbicides.”  For now, Big Agriculture will continue to use Glyphosate and continue their dependence on Monsanto GMO seed stock. Bayer and Big Ag. will be relieved of liability and continue realizing billions of dollars in profits.

This is an untenable situation, the proverbial corner we, as a nation, have allowed ourselves and food supply to be painted into. Testing of the food being fed to our military and in school cafeteria lunches, show levels of Glyphosate significantly higher than federal regulation allows in drinking water. The disclosure lies in the exposure of how big money interests manipulate, capture and operate to protect their positions of wealth and power.  It is an uncomfortable disclosure of truth; but a lasting one, which we as citizens can act on.

Take control, look for Non GMO labeling, eat and feed your families food from local farms and when possible, shift to purchasing produce you know doesn’t contain harmful chemicals. Contact your federal representatives and let them know your expectation of a healthful food supply without poison.

Disclosure of this truth, and many more to come, will lead to good; even if it must come through experiencing the bad and ugly.
