Interested in growing something beyond the traditional home garden? Whether you want to expand your backyard production, try new crops, or explore the idea of turning a hobby into a small side income, this class is for you.

Join Ag. Educator Cristian Acosta for this free specialty crops online class. This session is designed for home gardeners, beginner gardeners, and small-scale growers, not large commercial farming operations, and will cover:

  • Specialty crops that grow well in Allegany County
  • Basic care, maintenance, and seasonal management
  • Tips for productivity in small spaces
  • Introductory ideas for turning specialty crops into a beginner-level side business

If you’re curious about growing something unique, increasing your garden’s value, or learning how small-scale production can generate supplemental income, this class will provide practical, locally relevant guidance.
