Trip recap and photos By Liana Joslyn
This group of students was comprised of 9-12th graders who participate in concert band, orchestra, and/or choir.
Jeff Joslyn, Department Head and Secondary School’s Band Director remarks, “We haven’t visited Pittsburgh with this group of students before and this city has a lot to offer!”

This 3-day, 2-night trip boasted of The Andy Warhol Museum, The Museum of Illusions, Pittsburgh’s Kamin Science Center, watching Wicked at Benedum Center, as well as seeing the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra perform South Pacific. Other highlights included a meal from the Original Primanti Brothers, amazing burgers at Burgatory, experiencing the Strip District – including Grandpa Joe’s Candy Shop, and a full catered dinner evening with dancing at McFadden’s Pub. Prior to leaving the city, the group enjoyed a ride on the Duquesne Incline with amazing views of the city.

“We want to thank the community who helps support the kids through their fundraising efforts of the Chiavetta’s Chicken BBQ, Annual Duck Race, and our dip sales. Each sale helps a student be able to afford trips like these! It’s worth it to have these students see places they’ve never been and experience live theater and art,” Joslyn states.
